3) The Sevylor Fish Hunter 250 is 8' in length and there's space for just 1 person along with fishing gear.
All of Sevylor's inflatable boats are guaranteed not to leak. These inflatable boats are constructed of heavy-duty-32-gauge PVC and can sustain pokes and scratches from hooks and fish and even large dogs' toenails. - Make sure you've got oars - you'll have to buy these separately A 59" oar is a good size for this fishing boat.
- Purchase a dual action air pump - Coleman makes a very good one that is affordable. If you use an electric pump you will still need a foot pump. Inflatable boats this size need to get topped off with a foot pump for getting them very ridgid. Electric pumps are just not strong enough. Sevylor and Coleman make decent 12v pumps.
- Worried about punctures? Get increased protection using a camouflage boat boot. This could save you money in the long term. This really adds years to your inflatable.
- Some people like to use an anchor. The Kwik Tek A-2 Grapnel Anchor can come in handy.
- While you are not using it don't bother trying to get your inflatable boat back in the box. Simply get a large duffel bag to put it in.
- Lastly, boat with a life vest and don't forget to bring duct tape. I never fish in inflatable without it.
