Folding A Sleeping Bag
Folding girls sleeping bags can be quite a challenge especially if one has never had the experience of doing one before. I always find squashing a massive, puffed up sleeping bag into the tiniest of bags somewhat of a challenge. Here you will find the steps required to fold a sleeping bag with great ease:
1. First step is to zip up all the edges and lay the sleeping bag down flat on dry ground. It is important to ensure that the ground is dry otherwise a wet sleeping bag can develop mould overtime. So if out camping where the grass is wet, this can be done inside the tent.
2. Next is to ensure all there are no air pockets in the sleeping bag by flattening it out entirely. This can be done by pushing out all the air to the top of the bag and then carefully treading on it (shoes off).
3. Next is to fold the sleeping bag vertically in half and again treading on it to ensure there is minimal air in between. It is important that you make it as flat as possible otherwise puffs of air will make the rest of the steps challenging.
4. After this, begin rolling the sleeping bag from one end as TIGHTLY as possible. I emphasise the word 'tightly' here because this is the make or break part of folding the sleeping bag. Ensure that the edges are kept straight and that there is no air in between the rolls. A great technique is to make sure your head is directly over your arms to ensure that all your weight can press down on the sleeping bag.
5. When have rolled it to the end, put your knees on one end of the sleeping bag to ensure no air enters. Get the case and wrap it around the other end. This is the most difficult part and it depends on how well the roll was done. Pull the case over the entire bag after wrapping it over one end.
And Voila! You can now successfully roll girls sleeping bags.
