Indianapolis Kia dealer says Kia Ray's debut at Chicago Auto Show was even better than expected by Paul Creel
A surprising contender in the redefined automotive market, Kia has been making wave after wave in the media. One of the most recent triumphs by the Korean automotive manufacturer was the release of its 2009 numbers. Letâs be honest; last year was less than kind to the industry. Many manufacturers posted stunted sales numbers with much less clout than even the least positive of pundits projected. But it turns out that Kia has established itself as an industry leader with record sales over the 2009 season. Some attribute the manufacturerâs newfound global success to the fact that Kia offers some of the most cost-effective cars on the market. I, however, believe that there was more to it than that.
When you walk into your Indianapolis Kia dealer, you will notice that it looks a lot different than it used to. Drivers are seeing a surprising design shift that focuses on a much sportier feel, whereas Kiaâs reputation for cost effectiveness seemed to rest solely on the laurels of a cheaper look and a low range performance factor. However, especially in light of recent announcements, I beg to differ with Kia critics, and the new sales numbers will prove me right. But now, with the focus on fuel efficiency, Indianapolis used Kia drivers will be more than exited to test out the new Ray concept model when it makes its public appearance.
Unveiled at this yearâs Chicago Auto Show alongside a wide variety of new and innovative cars, the Kia Ray plug-in hybrid concept model immediately made a splash with both Kia fanatics and eco-friendly drivers alike, immediately rendering Indianapolis used car dealers almost obsolete. The Ray represents a huge move in ultimate fuel efficiency for the new major player in the industry, spotlighting several years of development and research. Design and engineering combine to offer a look at what the future holds for the automotive industry â a future in which you can expect your Indianapolis Kia dealer to play a major role. Thatâs not to say there arenât plenty of spectacular driving options at your Indianapolis used car dealership, but it looks like visiting a new dealership in the coming years will be the way to go.
Futuristic in its own right, the design features lightweight and recycled materials â complemented by hexagonal solar cells embedded in a glass roof panel for powering extra lighting and climate control systems. When all is said and done, the Ray concept is expected to receive a 746-mile range, pure fuel efficiency for smart drivers. By the time these innovative models reach Indianapolis used Kia dealerships, we expect the market will have progressed even further, but that doesnât mean this isnât a huge step for the industry.
Peter Schreyer, Chief Design Officer for the Kia Motors Corporation, said, âIt is important to imagine early in the design process what people will want in the future from a green perspective. People want to reduce their carbon footprint without driving carbon copies. Being green doesnât have to be an obvious statement anymore and the Kia âRayâ exemplifies a viable blend of modern, eco-minded features for todayâs environmentally conscious consumers.â
