What i mean is what are these type of helmets called not this specific one

That's a Schrader MkV by the looks of it and made after the 1940's. It could also be manufactured by Miller Dunn, Desco or Morse too, hard to tell with that pic but my money is on Schrader. Since it is a Mk V and not by Brown ( another company)...calling it a Brown would be incorrect. Either the simple term "hard hat" , "MkV" or USN dive helmet would be correct.
Edit: The Mk V is still in use. You'll find them at the odd job site.
