Sand Art - Painting Without A Brush!

A local resident from Bridgewater has captured the glory of Shenandoah Valley more than once on canvas. Capturing beauty of nature isn't her only goal from carrying around easel and oils to mountains and cornfields. To paint beautiful masterpieces, she also uses images that she cuts out from the newspapers.

This artist explains that being able to use black and white, as depicted in the clippings she collected, allows her to paint in an old fashioned way. The artist adds that to be able to use them in a larger picture, she has to cut out pictures of objects and animals as well. She took and held up a newspaper scrap of two millstones, and explained how she used it to paint her 15 by 4 mural which is found on her family room. The rustic millhouse near the riverbank in the photo blends perfectly well with the grey mill wheels. If you like our article on paintings then check out photograph to painting.

The artist gives emphasis to the large mural on her wall about how she uses the pictures to add small details to her work, such as wood land animals, farm equipment and crops, and weatherboard buildings. In order to do this, she only needs water. Because water goes fast, it's not so hard to paint using it.

She showed a new photo cut out about a snow scene and mentioned that she will begin painting it soon. Because snow goes fast, it is easier than the rest She only has two smaller scenes besides the mural that are hung around her home. But that doesn't include all the paintings she made to sell and/or give away.

She said she sells most of them through a furniture store in Hagerstown, Maryland. And she never turns down a request from neighbors and friends. The artist receives so many orders that she feels like she's buried underneath them. More and more orders come around by Christmas. Obtain more knowledge on paintings at italian oil painting masters.

She was only thirteen years old when first got into painting, thanks to a nice old lady in her neighborhood in Rockingham County. An afternoon lesson with the lady, back then, only cost her 25 cents. She displayed the first pallet that her mother made her from a lightweight board, using a drill and paring knife. The old pallet has a note written on it about how it was made, and it was smeared with paint all over.

Six years ago their church was torn down, and since then they have dedicated a family room for remaining items. The glass wall that covers one face of the room completely lets you see the river near their house as the sunshine filters through it. They did it wanting to bring the outside in the house, the nature and the woods.

As she was making the mural, she was bothered about something that would fit the room perfectly. Her children told her the rustic family room and the bright foliage with rusts, red and gold did not mix well, so she had to redo the mural three quarters through completion. According to the artist, she may keep her home as it is in order to drive the focus of her guests only to the mural and nothing else.

Frequently Asked Questions...

My son flushed a toy down the toilet?

Its one of those plastic sand timers, about 3/4-1 inch in diameter and about 3 inches long, i flushed the water a couple times, seems fine (no changes in flow nor any gurgling noises), i tried a mirror to look up there, didn't see it. is it gone? or will we have a mess on our hands the first time someone poops in there.

Answer:

if it's stuck in the pipe , once the toilet paper builds up around it.
it could very easily overflow. I had this problem with a hair baret.. the toilet would unexpectedly overflow untill I finally got disgusted , pulled up the toilet, and got it out of the lower pipe
